We are pleased to invite you to PYRO2026, the 25th edition of the International Symposium on Analytical and Applied Pyrolysis, which will take place in Pisa, Italy, from 7 to 11 June 2026.
The symposium will provide a platform for researchers, academics, and industry professionals to present and discuss recent developments in analytical and applied pyrolysis, including topics such as thermal decomposition processes, biomass and waste valorisation, advanced analytical methods, and new materials derived from pyrolytic techniques. The scientific program will include keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations, thematic sessions covering both fundamental and applied research and exhibitions.
PYRO2026 is organized under the auspices of the University of Pisa, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe. Founded in 1343, the University of Pisa has a strong tradition in both research and education. The Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry of the University of Pisa and the Department of Chemistry "G. Ciamician" of the University of Bologna will coordinate the local organization of the symposium.
Pisa, easily accessible by air and train, will provide a welcoming atmosphere for participants and offer opportunities to explore the cultural and natural beauty of Tuscany. The city is home to iconic attractions such as the world-famous Leaning Tower, the Square of Miracles and Keith Haring’s mural painting Tuttomondo, reflecting a unique combination of historical heritage and contemporary art.
The symposium will be held at the Polo della Memoria San Rossore 1938, a modern educational complex located just a short distance from the historical centre of Pisa. The venue combines modern conference facilities with a strong historical and symbolic significance.
We look forward to welcoming you to PYRO26 in Pisa!
